NEW USERS - Purezone with Dock Setup
Before you get started:

Note: The Purezone unit is shipped in sleep mode. To take the Purezone out of sleep mode follow these steps:
- Place the battery pack on the wireless charger.
- When the battery pack is placed correctly, with the battery pack centered on the wireless charger you will see the following:
- On the battery pack, an orange light will blink twice and a solid green light will illuminate to show that it is charging.
- In the cassette well, a green light followed by a red light will illuminate and then turn off
- When charging is complete, the green light on the battery will turn off. Ideally, the unit has been charged overnight before setup is initiated.
- You must perform setup when you are within Bluetooth range (within 10-12 feet) of your Purezone

- Ensure that you have Wi-Fi access (router, network node or access point within 25-30 feet of the spa) at the area where the spa is located
- Before starting the process, disable / enable Bluetooth on your phone to ensure Bluetooth is functioning properly on your phone during Setup
- Gather the following information, or ask your spa service professional for:
• Your sanitizer type (Example: Chlorinating Granules (Sodium Dichlor))
• Your balancer and its concentration (Example: Sodium Bisulfate (Dry Acid), 93.2%)
• Estimate how much water your spa holds (in gallons or liters)
• You will need this information to customize your water care advice when you add your spa to be tested by Purezone in the App.
Download and install the Purezone App and create your Account
- Download the Purezone app from the Apple App store or Google Play
- Enable Bluetooth on your phone (Bluetooth must be enabled or you will not be able to complete the initial pairing of the device from the Purezone app)
- Create a Purezone Account - Tap Sign Up. You'll need to provide your email address and First and Last name and a password. When complete tap Sign up. Tap I agree to agree to the WaterGuru terms of service. (Note Purezone is using the back-end servers of WaterGuru for user accounts)
- After your account has been created, we will send you an email with the subject "Your WaterGuru Verification code" - Note: You may need to check your "Other" folder, Junk Mail folder or Spam folder for an email from no-reply@waterguru.com if the email is not in your regular email Inbox.
- Tap "Confirm Account"
- Enter the 6-digit verification code
- After your email account has been verified, you will be prompted: "Add Spa? No spas or devices have been added to this account. You may add a new spa, or use profile to sign into a different account that has a spa".
- Tap "Add Spa"
SETUP
- Step 1 of 9 - Assure Purezone unit is out of sleep mode by placing it on the wireless charger. Ideally, the unit has been charged overnight before setup is initiated. - Tap Next
- Step 1 of 9 - The battery pack is charging when the indicator light turns on. The battery pack is charged when the indicator light turns Off. - Tap Next
- Step 2 of 9 - Remove the cassette from the foil bag when you are ready to use it. - Tap Next
- Step 2 of 9 - Scan the QR code on the cassette - Tap Scan QR Code - If you fail to scan the QR code, relocate your phone to an area with better lighting and retry,
- Step 3 of 9 - Install cassette in the cassette housing. The cassette is installed when you hear a click. - Tap Next.
- Step 4 of 9 - Select your Purezone system. 2 icons will appear depicting Purezone with Dock or Purezone with Hover - Tap Setup for Purezone with Dock.
- Step 5 of 9 - Insert the battery pack in the Dock. Note: If the Dock is not installed in your spa, please refer to the Dock installation guide on the Purezone website. The cassette housing should be vertical and fully submerged as shown here. If extra cord prevents the cassette housing from hanging vertically, loop the extra code with the tie. - Tap Next
- Step 6 of 9 - Assure that the cassette housing is fully submerged in water and the battery pack is above water. Now that the Purezone is in the water, reinstall water filters and the filter well cover, as needed. - Tap Next.
- Step 7 of 9 - Connect the Purezone system to the Internet. Start by turning on Bluetooth. - Tap Next
- Step 7 of 9 - Good News! We found Purezone units! Please select one below. - Select the check box next to the BLE address of your Purezone device and tap Next
- Note: If you wait too long before selecting, the app will time out and the error message "Bluetooth Disconnected" will appear. Tap Try again. If you continue to experience issues tap Cancel and tap the back button to the previous step
- Step 7 or 9 - Bluetooth Connected! - Tap Next
- Step 8 of 9 - Good News! We found the following networks. Please select yours. - Select the check box next to your network SSID and tap Next
- Enter password for Network SSID - Enter your password and tap Join
- Step 9 of 9 - Name your spa - Enter a name for your Spa and tap Done on the keyboard
- IMPORANT - Assure that Purezone is in water - Tap Next
- Great! Your spa is connected! Now Purezone will test your spa water. The test results will take about 10 minutes, and display in the App. Meanwhile, please answer a few questions that will customize your water care advice. - Tap Next
- What type of sanitizer do you use? - Tap the check box next to your sanitizer type and tap Next
- What type of balancer do you use? pH Decreaser / pH Down - Tap the check box next to your balancer type and tap Next
- If you select an acid, you will be asked to enter the concentration - Tap the check box next to the concentration and tap Next
- Estimate how much water your spa holds? - Tap the check box and tap Next
- The app will return to the Status page and will display the results of the first water measurement
- Supply levels will display the amount of remaining Water Tests and the level of your battery. If you had not charged your battery before beginning setup, you should do so.
- Tap on the Alerts area above the 3 circles to view Alerts
- Tap on each of the Alerts to view the Advice for how to resolve any issues with FC/TB, pH or TA
