What Wi-Fi Security Protocols does the Purezone support and not support?

The Purezone supports the following Wi-Fi Security protocols:

  • WPA/WPA2 Wi-Fi security
  • WPA2 Personal (aka WPA2-PSK, PSK2, WPA2-PSK (AES encryption only – not TKIP), WPA2-PSK/AES) 
  • WPA/WPA2 Personal (aka WPA/WPA2 Mixed mode, WPA/WPA2 PSK, WPA/WPA2 (TKIP/AES), WPAWPA2-PSK (TKIP/AES), PSK2-Mixed) 

Encryption:

  • 128-bit AES with unique-per-device PSK

The Purezone does not support the following Wi-Fi Security protocols:

  • Open Network – No network security
  • WPA (any version)
  • WPA Personal (any version) – aka WPA Pre-Shared Key or PSK Personal
  • WPA/WPA2 Enterprise
  • WPA2-PSK (TKIP) encryption
  • WPA2 Enterprise
